The production of e-waste rises 3 to 5% every year resulting in a high environmental impact if not properly recycled.
Extending the lifetime of these capacitors would have a major impact on minimising the e-waste, thus reducing the amount of materials required and disposed of, lowering the consequent environmental impact.
