C2C-NewCap participated in the 6th edition of Salão Nacional do Transporte, the biggest Portuguese exhibition dedicated to road freight transportation.
GO-START demonstrated at the biggest Portuguese transportation fair
For the first time, participants were able to see GO-START demonstrations and understand its benefits.
The demonstrator included not only the supercapacitor GO-START, but also a Li-ion battery which was powering a coffee machine and two large fans with a consumption peak of 80A. For the engine starter, we brought our Volvo engine starter which drains around 1200 A from the supercapacitor to rotate the shaft that connects to the truck engine.
Coffee powered by GO-START
Visitors saw for the first time a lead-free power system and were able to have an hot coffee powered by the GO-START system.
We heard various perspectives on the importance and problems of batteries in heavy commercial vehicles. We also made several business contacts that have already been converted to GO-START installations.
We are looking forward to bringing GO-START to the show next year.
